I wouldn't say it is supposed to work. it is the way it works.

it would be much more logical to do it as you suggested above.
However this decisions are hard wired in the product and can't be overridden by a plugin, at leat not in an esay way.
i'm afraid you need to live with how it is done currenty

    AW: One Button Random Music?

    Hi,

    here is another feature request:

Is it possible to play songs from a predefined folder after pressing a number key on my remote?
In my case I want to play all children songs for my daughter by pressing '3' for example.
I don't want to add all children music to my music archive because if I use the random mode for myself I don't want to hear my daughters' favourite songs :)

    Thanks

found a bit of a bug.

Issue - 2 music files playing at the same time

Conditions - autoplay w/ inactivity enabled. Selecting an online (or long load time) video. If load time or streaming time exceeds the autoplay delay you will get music starting. Then - on exit from the video you get another music stream that starts up resulting in 2 music files playing at the same time. Stopping the music player manually (stop button) kills the stream that starts up when the video is exited. There is no way to stop the music stream that was triggered during the long video load time / streaming time. The only way to stop this file from playing is to exit media portal or let the song finish.

    Hey,

nice plugin - i like it.

Is it possible to autoplay music when resuming from a video?

    Hi,

Use the autoplay after x seconds and set x to 1
(I dont know if 0 works - you'll have to try if you cant wait 1 second)

    Ah not perfect anymore. :)

When I set the autoplay function to 0 or 1 second, I get always a dark screen when a video finished. After stoping music the gui is back.

When using only the autoplay on mediaportal startup function, the music starts after playing a video. But when I stop a video, for e.g. a movie where i don't want to watch the credits, the music doesn't start.

I'm using MP 1.0.4.23908. Any idea?

could be anything. need to try out myself.

however, i'm away for one week now and won't have my dev pc with me. you need to be patient.
And please try higher numbers for the autoplay. I was thinking in terms of minutes, developing that and no in seconds or even 0.

Question, none of my music collection has star ratings in their ID3 tags.. How would I go about sourcing this information and writing it to my ID3 tags via an online database, for instance the one MediaPortal uses in the Now Playing section.. Just wanting to use the PLAY function with the Star Rating option and like HELL I'm not going to go through 9000 songs and manually rate every one... LOL

Sorry for the slightly off topic nature..
