Hi
I have media portal 1.5 (windows 7), the system has been running ok until recently, basically the PC wont go to standby, I looked into the tvserver log and it seems that the epg is stopping standby. can anyone help?
Hi
I had 'do not put computer to sleep' ticked, cleared that now the log has the following in it:
[2013-11-27 08:28:15,974] [Log ] [PS StandbyWakeup] [DEBUG] - PS: System is idle and may go to standby
[2013-11-27 08:28:15,974] [Log ] [PS StandbyWakeup] [DEBUG] - PS: Active standby is disabled - standby is handled by Windows
[2013-11-27 08:28:15,989] [Log ] [PS StandbyWakeup] [DEBUG] - PS: Requests preventing Windows standby: [DRIVER] \FileSystem\srvnet, [DRIVER] \FileSystem\srvnet, [DRIVER] Legacy Kernel Caller
All other tick boxes in the expert view are clear, it appears that windows is the problem, google search seems to indicate this is a common problem but no clear solution?
Since I played around with all the settings as per the previous posts and despite putting everything back to how it was, as far as I can tell, now when my HTPC wakes up to make a recording it no longer does so in away mode. I will probably do a restore from a backup in the hope that that will resolve the issue.

Yes, I cannot explain that either. The problem may not be related to the refresh rate, but one needs to investigate different possibilities to (hopefully) find the cause of the problem.
De-interlacing is a particular problem, because there seem to be several places where de-interlacing settings exist. The second screen shot from...

Well, there is nothing wrong in the log. I have personaly tested the bitstreaming after DVD resume, and I can confirm that the LAV audiodecoder shows status 'bistreaming' on the output.
What is your LAV status?

The layout of remotes does vary from one model/brand to another. I too find that some layouts are better than others. Generally, I prefer the buttons that I use most-frequently to be positioned near the center of the remote, which is not the case with that particular Dell remote. :(
Battery life is often a problem. A remote that I...
