Anyone Knows if Pinnacle PCTVPRO Works?

I had one working once, without timeshifting etc. Then it got dis-supported. So I used a brilliant workaround: Sold it for about 55 euro's, put in 5 extra and bought a MCE card. . I believe you can use the card again with the newest MP, but I would try to sell it for a good price to someone not needing a MCE-card, and the use the money to buy one of those yourself.
(O, and try to keed the remote if you have one, it works fantastic with MP and other apps).

Have you tried adding the capture card under Television>capture cards in the setup module (not in the wizard). If I remember correctly, you were able to add it as an S/W card, but I not sure if it was that way and if you still can in the current version. One thing is for sure, your card isn't mentioned here

If there is a possability of it working, you have to put it as an S/W Card.

Your card is really becoming obselete. The future is with MCE cards. I would defenitly advice to try to sell it (I sold mine to someone who could use a S/W card because of the different capture modes, like raw .avi instead of just MPEG2, it is a nice card when you want to edit old videotaped material (as long as you use the video-in))
