Can you please try again? Only change is one more log line which should log the original exception thrown by HR

Looks like a problem building the graph. Either a filter is missing or some filter is inserting itself into the graph that causes troubles? LAV installed? Any other installed that shouldn't be there?

Playback is working fine in MP1 with LAV!

Is this a windows 8.1 problem, all my movies are mkv and experiencing no problems under Windows 7.

I don't think so, because the discussion, Morpheus pointed to, is 6 years old (XP/Vista).

Next, simple try: I don't throw an exception now and continue to build graph.

Please test again with the non-working example!

Logs and new screenshot are attached. In the mean time i've updated to LAV 0.63! MP2 still crashes!

New try: I check if the Pin is already connected, if so I log the connected filter's name and disconnect it before.
