[confirm] Playback of a movie -> MP2 crashes to desktop (1 Viewer)

Hm then we have to figure out what is different between Series and Movies
Are they on a different Media Source / Share meaning differently added in MP2?
What is the difference in the files (mutli audio tracks, codec, substitles embedded, ...)?

Attached are logs and mediainfo from not working movie and working series episode. Both media sources are network shrares on the same same server. Have tried also with a local share -> Playback crashes .
Playback is working fine in MP1 (same PC) and MPC-HC!

Can you, just for testing, copy a working series episode to your movies collection and rename the file so it pretends to be a movie (e.g rename Hunted - S01E01 - Der Verrat.mkv to Avatar.mkv). Then do a reimport and try to play this new "movie"...

Most obvious difference between the example mediainfos above are the existing PGS subtitle streams in movies, where series don't have one. One possible cause could be that a decoder tries to hande PGS and fails.

Could you remux on (smaller?) example video without PGS subs and try this?

Unfortunately no success, have remuxed "Mud" (pgs subs deleted) and MP2 crashed again.

So it's not a general playback issue in movies part. It's an issue with your move files...

Another difference (aside of Subs) I've noticed in MediaInfos are the Audio Tracks. Movie has DTS only and Series has AC3... Maybe there is something wrong with your Codec Setup inside MP2...

To test this you can recode "Mud" with Video "copy" and Audio "convert DTS to AC3". Should not last long and you can test if it's a problem with DTS.

I found a new debugging way: the GraphBuilder supports a logfile to output all connection attempts. I've created a new "graphbuilder.log" under common MP-Client log path.

Please try the attached player with working and non-working files and post all log files here. Maybe we get told which filter connection attempt causes the crash.

Edit: I've attached a 2nd file that also logs the "NotImplemented" methods if DotNetStreamSource. I finally have a guess that this could be the cause: maybe a filter (here probably subtitle related) tries to do Async reading from the source filter. That could cause the NotImplementedExceptions, that happen during a call from unmanaged side.
