When you change this setting I think it will only apply to new schedules and not ones that are already set up.

MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.

also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)
