so - I'm very sorry - but on a clean install with onl ya limited number of Plugins - working without problems :)

Only one thing (what I can't confirm) - Powersheduler++ was replaced by the standard Powersheduler during setup.

I have run the upgrade over 1.2.2 as mentioned and everything is working correctly and smoothly.
I have a single seat server with one HTPC client.

    Thanks Team

    Getting a bit off-topic here.

Can we please focus on testing the build and reporting problems?

If we keep adding new fixes, it will take longer to test. There is no reason why a fix that doesn't make it into 1.2.3 cannot go into a 1.2.4 release. I'd just rather see something released instead of nothing.

This happens for me with every update (I have not tried MP1.2.3 yet, but it happened with MP1.2.1 and 1.2.2 upgrades). I believe that Powershceduler++ overwrites the Powerscheduler files rather than being a individual plugin in its own right. Therefore, unless Michael re-writes Powerscheduler++ to be wholly independent the the MP Deploy Tool will always do this. Basically, I don't think it is the fault of MP1.2.3 or the deploy tool.

I have posted a question in the Powerscheduler++ thread to ask if Michael has a potential solution.

One route might be to include Powerscheduler++ by default with the Deploy Tool (but that might not wanted by the team)

It could be argued that we might not be getting too many MP1.X updates now that MP2 is being progressed, that it really isn't a problem anyway?

    Hi Hi.

Just to offer an easier way of upgrading from 1.2.3 (which normally doesnt allow upgrading).

I just right-clicked "MediaPortalSetup_1.2.0-190.....exe" and extracted (with 7-zip) to a custom folder and ran the exe file in the deploy folder.

will report back later what the result is. Upgrading like this went fine, without error messages.

    [edit]
I just gave MP a try. No issues found what so ever. Will report if I find any.

There doesn't seem to be a mantis entry for this, and as far as I can see, mm135200 posted a new version of MPFileWriter.ax, but did not post the code. Is this correct?
Perhaps you can send him a PM to ask the status of this?
    Mark
As far as I remember mm135200 couldn't add the source to SVN because code was freezed (1.2.0 was coming out).
Maybe it's better to open a new thread.
    Thank you,
    sdf

Without access to the code, this won't help, unfortunately. I meant about posting the code in the forum.

Please can you send him a PM about this?
