[solved] Q: thumbnail creation for Pictures plugin (2 Viewers)

Still, the folder.jpg does not get created. I do notice there are errors in the log where it is supposed to create them, but cannot put my finger on it.

I see thumbs for video in MyPictures created, run Mediaportal, go to folder with video, check for thumbs, then go to up folder and check for folder thumbs (folder.jpg) ...

But i see errors in lg like:

For folders:

D:\2012\2012-01-15 (verjaardagspartijtje Dion)\
D:\2012\2012-01-16 (verjaardagspartijtje Mike)\
and other ...

And see in log this errors:

Q:
If you go to My Pictures, go to the video folder, is there a preview on the video? If you leave the folder, a folder.jpg is created. Is the thumbs visible in the folder?
If you go to the folder with the photo, are there images for these photos? Is a folder.jpg created for the photo folders?

Can you make one experiment?
Close MP, delete all thumbs in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Pictures folder (subfolder like 00,01 ... 99)
Run MP, goto MyPictures plugin and go to one folder with Video like: D:\2012\2012-01-15 (verjaardagspartijtje Dion)
Wait 5 minutes, return to upper folder and look for folder thumbs (folder.jpg), present or not? then goto D:\2012\2012-01-15 (verjaardagspartijtje Dion) again, look for thumbs for video, present or not? Than again goto upper folder and look older thumbs (folder.jpg), present or not?
Close MP and look to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Pictures folder (subfolder like 00,01 ... 99) thumbs for video present? Or not?
Look for D:\2012\2012-01-15 (verjaardagspartijtje Dion)\ folder.jpg present or not?
If possible, give screenshots and a log file for all these steps. It is possible in personal messages.
I don't understand what the problem is yet, but it's either a rights problem or an algorithm problem. If you are right, it has to be somehow corrected. If it is in the algorithm I will hold 1.26Pre and give you a version with debugging information and try to solve this problem.

Hello, thumbs for video in pictures was added later, so suspect than thumbnails tools don't create this thumbs.
If you share the folder on myvideo plugin, the thumbs is created fine?

MyPictures created thumbs and folder.jpg as well, i test on my HTPC... No problems, works fine for me

Thanks for the effort and replies guys, much appreciated and I will start testing as soon as I can. Sadly, last night my mother in law passed away quite unexpectedly, so the next couple of days I will have to attend to family matters first.

Just before taking any unnecessary actions:
With the correct settings in MPConfig, MyPictures correctly shows all thumbs, even for videos stored in MyPictures:



But @ajs needs to add the video thumbs in LMH as well

Hmmm, LMH show video in latests? Strange, should show only pictures ...
