I havent given it much thought but how do you connect a HTPC that only has DVI to a TV that only has HDMI, Scart and Component? I want the best possible picture.

I know they make DVI to HDMI cables.... I think this should work just fine. If anyone knows better... let us know.

it is pretty simple: DVI-to-HDMI cable

(read it again, I didn't say DVI-to-DVI + DVI-to-HDMI converter, nor DVI-to-HDMI converter + HDMI to HDMI cable)

the other connections are not even worth taking the time to talk about 'em when you have DVI-to-HDMI

not to mention that with DVI-HDMI you computer will in fact be faster (ok this is a very general statement) compared to any of the other connections you mention

and I mean noticeably faster (depending on your VGA card though)

One thing to note, you will need to get audio from your PC to the TV as the DVI to HDMI will not carry audio (as HDMI to HDMI kit might). Of course this is not hard is it.

...plus that most of the times in a Home Cinema audio does NOT go to the TV anyway
