Receive remote control signal with IrDA port? (1 Viewer)

IrDA uses a different carrier bandwitdh than regular remote controls so it's no possible, I'm afraid.
It's kind of like saying can you use your webcam to take themographic images. In theory they use the same methods, but just not quite.
I've explained this in a lot more detail in a number of very old posts.

Due to ongoing issues with my TBS5520SE USB tuner, I've invested in a Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2 tuner. I have a multi-LNB setup...
I think 1.38 is easier, it's a minor addition, judging by the lack of bugs, 1.39 is still a long way off.
Ideally, the TuningParameters settings would be moved to MPE1, along with all the skins. Then any minor fixes could be updated quickly.
