Refresh Rate Control Plugin (2 Viewers)

hi,
so for me the plugin is also not working correct, or better i think MP can't handle it.
The plugin changes the refreshrate but can't build the graph correct after changing.
Mostly for a short time i get video and audio, than the refreshrate change comes,
after it i have the correct refreshrate but only audio ...
I don't use powerstrip because my NVIDIA 8600 GT isn't really supported. I use setres
with commandline and it works fine. My problem seems more that MP can't handle the
change and building tha graph new ... I have the same issues with another changing
solution directly within the myfilms plugin. This works with sending a value to setres
to change the refreshrate. The value is setup in the ANT moviedatabase.
Maybe also something difficult could be i am using VISTA 32bit ... ???

This plugin seems to have problems with latest SVNs of TVServer. I don't know if worked before. It works perfectly for videos but freezes mediaportal when is active and I turn on TV.
No log is written unfortunately to the txt file in mediaportal directory.
Maybe someone can understand why it does not work
anymore? I this this plugin is very useful!!

@roby,
what is your PC setup ? are you running VISTA or XP, which graphiccard and driver ?
Like mentioned before for the plugin is working for movies but my system or my MP
can't handle the change. Maybe the decoders are my problem ...
I really don't know but i need a framerate change solution
I'm running XP VMR9. ATI HD 2400, Driver 8.1 (latest from ATI). Decoder Cyberlink PowerDVD 7. Audio decoder ffdshow.

Sorry if this question has been answered previously. I had a look through this thread and did a quick search but could not find anything.
I have just installed powerstrip so that i can change mediaportal's resolution from my desktop's 1440X900 to my plasma's 1360X768. I set up an application profile for mediaportal to do this, named MP. When, using the mouse, i right click on the powerstrip systray icon and select the MP application profile the screen changes resolution and starts up mediaportal perfectly. When i exit mediaportal, the resolution changes perfectly back to my desktop.
The problem is whenever i use the mce remote to start mediaportal (via mptray), it starts mediaportal but the resolution stays at desktop's 1440X900.
--edit-- i've had a good go at using HIP with a simple batch file but it doesn't always operate correctly (especially with resolution failing to change back to desktop on exit every time) and scrolling that can't be altered in screen calibration.
Is there a simple solution to this that anyone could enlighten me of?

Hi,
I had completely forgotten about this thread. I gave up on powerstrip and am now using a very basic free app called resolution changer 3.12 which changes the resolution automatically when firing up mediaportal. It then reverts back to desktop resolution when quitting mediaportal. Works a treat!

hi,
i have changed the plugin so it works without powerstrip but i have still a problem. when i start a .mkv file with 24 fps it changes the refresh rate and the file is still playing (i hear audio) but screen remains black.... i tried it under vista, here the same thing. has anyone a idea or a workaround ?

I urge you to just give Resolution Changer 3.12 a try:
