Hello, I wanted to know if there are ideas to implement replay gain in the bass player? I have used Foobar and winamp with these options and I found them very useful.

you may use postprocessing (ffdshow) for normalization.

That is a good idea for the moment, but normalization is not the same as replaygain. It stores volume meta data in mp3 and flac files that the player uses for unifying the volume. I know that the pure audio plugin supports replay gain, but I would like to see this functionality in the main program, because the pure audio plugin is sometimes buggy switching from video to music usage and in combination with visualization and/or the lyrics plugin.

I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback.
Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)

Is it possible to enable MP to resume in an External Player, where it left off ?
I guess the question also is, can...
maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)
maybe other programs competing for resouces?

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...
