thanks for your answer. I wasn't aware that you've build in already such a functionality. Nice work!
I'll give it another try this weekend and will send to you the SAF log.

Anyhow, is there a list of programs available that definitely have to be uninstalled prior to SAF? Like:

• PowerDVD
• FFDshow
• Nero (don't have it... just wanted it mention)
• Haali
• what's about Media Player Classic and the home cinema version
• VLC ? (can't be a problem, right?)

Also, I just want to mention that I've NO codec packs installed. But still, I can see a lot of DirectShow Filters on my system.

FFDshow, MPC-HC and Haali are already integrated in to SAF.
PDVD only as external player to play BlueRay, HD DVD.
NERO is pure evil and VCL is not DirectShow based player.

I attached the screenshot of the working graph with MpegSplitter.ax and PDVD9 decoder.

Are you sure it is interlaced VC-1? Can you provide small sample?

Do you know how to cut .m2ts file to smaller pieces? Remux to mkv I think is not a good option.

HD TV and blu ray

Hi all,

I've been reading this tremendous thread for a couple of days and took the step today to install SAF.
Reason to do:

• watch HD TV
• play blu ray

Can somebody help me with solving the last issues with HD TV:
The HD TV is getting better, but, "yes sorry" did a clean install this weekend and installed SAF but still have some challenges.

The image is shocky and slow, also not in sync with sound. BTW the sound is good!
With SAF installed HD TV improved, MP doesn't crashes anymore. (thnks Hoborg) But I would like to run the last mile as well.

Does somebody has pointers or a shortlist to isolate possible issue's?

Second, I would like to play blu ray's. As I understand it seems that SAF with Coreavc does the trick.
Is this correct, should I go that way?

No, that is not correct.

If you install Any "on the fly" DVD decrypter, you can play *.m2ts files directly from BluRay disc, but you will not have menu.

You need any external player (Like PDVD) to play BlueRay with menu.

CoreAVC is not needed at all.

Hi Hoborg,

Misinterpreted you're first answer wrong . Installed Any "on the fly" decrypter. Should those *.m2ts show up in MP? Because I went to dir "stream" where they are located, but content isn't showing in MP.
