Hi all, I have a HD 3650 AGP and I have a problem:
I use Powerdvd codec included in SAF(with dxva) and when I watch live PAL TV, the deinterlacting modes switches from the best Settings (I control them in ATI Catalyst Control Center 9.5) to weave and back( I can see this at a Channel, where a lettering on the bottom on the screen moves), and sometimes the TV freezes for a short time.
I don't know what to do, how can I manage it to stop changing deinterlacting mode.

Sorry for my bad Englisch.

You mean you use "CLVsd.ax"? In CCC you can select software mode deinterlacing, wich have no effect if you are using DXVA (hardware deinterlacing).

Hoborg,

Not sure if you can help but might have so ideas - I've made some images of DVDs using DVD Fab 5 (so I have audio_ts & video_ts folders & appropriate contents on disk). When I play those images MP crashes after a few minutes of playback (using SAF 3.47 on MP 1.0.2) - all my ripped DVDs, TV, music, home movies appear to play fine just the images - however, those images appear to play fine on WMP.

Unfortunately I cannot think how to get any logs because the crash locks the PC up!

Any advice would be appreciated as I don't quite know if my problem is MP or SAF related.

Thanks

Hi.

If you play this DVD's directly from DVD, is it OK?

Try to disable DXVA in MP settings.

Playing from DVD does not crash - I have another log that MP tends to skip the main menu sometimes(which is annoying as some films default to the wrong language!) but generally fine except unmounting the image - I get an unmount image message like daemon tools but as it's not an iso not sure why that is kicking in and I need to check turning that off to see if it helps at all.

Will try turning off dxva later.

    THanks

If DXVA is ON, WH deinterlacing is ON too.

    It's not working for me.

I have ATI 3450, Vista with SP2 and media-portal of version 1.0.2 and SAF v3.47 doesn't enable DXVA.

Any news on when the new version will be released? This a great codex and works perfectly, well almost.

I now just have one problem, it does not play the movie at all if there is a external subtile (.sub) in the folder with the same name. I enabled external subtitles when I installed SAF. Anyone that can play external (files) subtitles with .mkv?

Edit: And I do know how to use mkvmerge, lets just say copy over a small file is little bit easier for the end-user.

New version wont be released, until MPC-HC software decoder will be fixed.

MKV+ external subtitles should be supported in MP 1.10

I just tried extracting procedure for CLVsd.ax from the PowerDVD setup file.

    _A2999B32CFD14E0385CC0CC8DB803CB4 is missing from Data1.cab?

This is the installer I got from Cyberlink.com:
    PowerDVD9_Trial+BD_with+Dolby_.1719_DVD090514-08.exe

Just checked again and it's not there.

For every build they release the filename changes.

But I installed it on another pc and just copied the CLVsd.ax from there.. It's working fine now :)
