Not entirely sure if I understand how you mean, but "you can map keys on your remote to almost any function in MediaPortal:
- perform different actions depending on the window
- create 'layers' so each remote button can perform multiple actions
Note: You can also change the functions of keys or remote buttons by customizing Keys and Sounds."

But that i would say is, like in the wmp when you push ("clic") on play button, the play icon turn in pause,and if you press it you pauuse the song, and the same for the skip next song if you short press the button you go to the next song but if you maintain pressed you have the"FF" function.
