@infinityloop: Can I help testing?

If yes, I will also do a clean installation of Win XP + SP2 + DVB-Hotfix without any DVB-S card installed!

Than I will try to use the Cinergy1200 first, than the SkyStar2.
And than installing MS Patches & test to find which may cause the problem

Hello, this is my first post. I hope someone finds it of use.

I've been struggling to get the TV Server working on my AMD 64Bit machine for a while now.

I narrowed down the problem to the fact that the tvservice.exe and setuptv.exe where both using the 64bit version of .Net 2.
I think this problem was found on the MediaPortal.exe when it was initially used on 64bit.

    I got it working by:

    Firstly stop the TVService.

Then install the .net 2.0 SDK x64. Link

Then open the 'SDK Command Prompt' (from start menu) and run the following commands: (change your tv server install location if it is not the default).

    corflags "C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\tvservice.exe" /32Bit+

    THEN

    corflags "C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\SetupTv.exe" /32Bit+

This forces the applications to use the 32Bit version of .Net not the 64Bit; which it will automatically select if this flag is not set.

To reverse the setting change the switch to /32Bit-
To view the current status of the flag setting, run without the switch.

Every time you update the TV Server you will need to run the command again on the new exe's (remember to stop the service).

...Would it be possible to have this flag set by default?...

Okay I've installed x86, read snowmans post, reinstalled x64 and downloaded the sdk...

Is there a possibillity to implement this in TVE3?

Skystar2 with old WDM drivers 4-4-0

Here is a (new) test version of tswriter.ax
    To install:
    - stop tvservice
    - unrar the file and copy it into the tvserver folder
    - overwrite the old tswriter.ax
    - start the tvservice
    - scan for channels

Please let me know the results

I have the same problem. Scanning always crashes, mostly at tp 19, sometimes at tp 20. If I can help solving it, let me know. I have a Medion XL 8383 with a Cinergy 1200 DVB-S card and use WinXP Home.

The same Problem is discussed on the german board. They solved it, but only in the "old school" MP-Version, by changing the tpl-file for the 19,2 Astra. Maybe the data from kingofsat ist wrong.

Is there someone, who has no problems and can export his channellist and post it here, to import it, until the problem is solved?

    Regards

scanning with the same card, on the same PC, the same transponder with other applications works just fine.

scanning the same sat in TV-Server with NOVA-HD-S2 or floppydtv-dvb-s works just fine.

so the data can not be wrong ;)

Same crash with scan, with hvr3000 last svn, last tvserver. All updatefix and XPSP2.

Change tswritter.ax and fixed crash, scan all Astra transponders
