Now we have shoutcast working(in .ASX files)...it would be awesome to be able to record the MP3 audio streams as we play them....as we do in XBMC

maybe all ASX files can be saved? video and audio?

I'd be nice, if MP supported writing files to disk, doing http reads (like foobar2000 does with the right http_reader input? plugin).

    I assume it doesn't..

P.s. I was just about to open a new thread, but then I thought of searching for 'shoutcast'. Perhaps there should be a sticky thread where RFEs are listed, after they are acknowledged by admins/devs. That way one can always check said thread, before posting a new RFE. This becomes usefull when:

    - One doesn't know exactly what keywords to search with.
    - One finds a lot of results.
    - After posting and not getting a reply, It is not certain what the devs think of an RFE, ie. whether it is valid. Check the said thread, if it's there it's ok, if ti's not - perhaps a seperate part with 1 liner reason why not...

Oops look at the time... ;)

Shoucast playback support and recording support are 2 different things...but its just takes some hard work...and not a priority right now (TV recording is :)

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...

TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page. Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases. -- from...
