here is the picture from the skin-page. the skin-theme is Horus.

Hi bribbon,
THank you very much for your clarification; attached you can find the xml (myHomePlugIns.xml) that fix the problem (damn, I've forgotten that file in making changes for the new full HD resolution ). Copy it in Xtreme\Themes\Horus folder (overwrite the existing one, of course)

Edit: Is there a way to get the MePo Logo (above left) and the weather/clock (right above) out from this nice skin? maybe to deactivate in settings?

...this shouldn't be possible using standard skin xml's, but I've done a little modification for you in Settings GUI xml so that you can chose "No WeatherClock" as Topright WeatherClock Type in skin settings (however in this way you won't have topright weatherclock in all views, not only in BasicHome). Copy attached file "settings_GUI_Skin.xml" in main Xtreme folder (overwrite the standard one) and then, as written before, set "No WeatherClock" as Topright WeatherClock Type.
For the MP logo the quickest way is to rename all the files named "mplogo1.png" (for example in "mplogo1_old.png"), in main media folder (Xtreme\Media) and in all themes media folders (Xtreme\Themes\Hero Night\Media and so on). Don't forget to clear skin cache for changing to take effect.

Hope this could meet your needs (let me know if all is ok)
Ciao

Hi All,
Christmas is very close and is time to give a little gift to all Xtreme users :), so in download page, as archived file 1, you can find the RC2 of the next upcoming 1.4.0.0 release.
This is a very important release because, thanks to the wonderful work done by NicSergio, the skin is finally equipped with an editor for the BasicHome menu :D.
Below you can see a screenshot of the wonderful job done by NicSergio in realizing the Editor (a very very very big thank goes to him for that (y)(y)), and With his very precious help I was able to add a whole series of really interesting features to the skin.

Over all a very flexible system of overlays management, which will allow in the future to adds other ones in addition to those provided by default with the skin using any plugin that allows it.
You can see an example of what I mean in the screenshot of the htpcinfo overlay that you can find in this 1.4.0.0RC2 release of Xtreme.

There is an extremely wide opportunity to customize the backgrounds used in BasicHome. For each menu item, you can choose to use multi-images, for which you can select any directory that contains your own personal images/backgrounds in your htpc, or you can choose to use single images, again with the possibility to choose from those stored in any directory of your mediacenter pc, or you can also choose to use the backgrounds managed by Fanart handler plugin. In addition, thanks again to the helpful NicSergio's suggestions, you can enable a little effect to have "animated" backgrounds checking the appropriate option in the editor.

About the menu, you can set from a minimum of 5 items to a maximum of 10, choosing from the items listed into "Default Links" tab, or selecting directly into the "Skin Files" tab the xml file which the menu item must point to (in this way you can set any Xtreme supported plugin as menu item)
For each menu item you can set up to 5 submenu items, with the same flexibility as the main items.

For the theme Horus, in the editor there is also the possibility to customize the menu choosing different icons, and, as for backgrounds, you can do that browsing and selecting your own icon (in png format) on each directory of your htpc.

This release is not the final version yet (I've planned to pubblish the final version right after the release of MP1.6 final), so please report any issue here so NicSergio (for the editor) and I (for the skin) can fix it.

Thank you very much and enjoy Xtreme!

I just wanted to add 2 words:

    • the editor comes from the code of the ShortCut'er plugin, so even here I have to thank the developers of the StreamedMp Skin Editor for the many ideas that I took from their work
    • with marduk we have developed an alternative approach to the traditional method used by the skin editors: the editor<->skin interface is totally made up of the file skinsettings.xml, this has only been possible thanks to a fantastic work of marduk and could be the base for a generic BasicHome Editor

thanks to anyone who will help

Thanks you for this new skin, Marduk65. I am really enjoying it. Especially looking forward to the editor you're working on. This is going to be very popular.
Is a beta of the editor available anywhere, or is it going to be a part of an upcoming release of Extreme?
    Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

    Hi tamvegas,
the editor is included in the 1.4.0.0RC2 package available in download page as Archived file 1; installing that package you will have also the editor (you can launch it from the shortcut created on the desktop by the installer or through the MediaPortal configurations in Process Plugins section).

    Thank you very much
    Ciao
