I recently installed latest stable (1.0.2) and now, I cant change skin. I added Monochrome by pasting the right folder into the skin-folder and installed all the plugins. Still, it wont show up. Ideas why?
Sorry to ask: Are you absolutely sure you used correct folder?
If so, it should be something like C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skins
- there you should have
Folder: [Name of skin]
Inside folder [Name of skin]: XML files and a [Media] folder
(^ This is since you use 1.0.2. For 1.1, it is different)
Did you restart MediaPortal? Sometimes I've noticed just shutting it down doesn't really end the process. Perhaps a reboot of your computer will fix this.
Just for fun, try to delete or rename the Blue3Wide skin-folder (if that is the skin you see on startup). If that doesn't give you an error then you're looking in the wrong folder.
The only changes I see are: Updated Marcel Groothuis version of the plugin to now support Media Portal 2.5
I can't say anything about the functionality of this plugin, I don't use TV Part, but if there are any changes that can be simply transferred, then I can try.
But I can't give any guarantees.

Well, the log doesn't show any problems. I can see correctly tuned channels in the log. It seems to me that the tuner works fine.
Can you copy the created ts file(located in your timeshift folder) somewhere else while in channel preview and try to play it in VLC or MPC-HC?
PS: You can also try to make short record
