So your opening post is wrong stating version 1.0.2. Crucial information for your question

See Spragleknas mentioning it twice in previous posts.

Go to Start Menu, Programs, Team MediaPortal, MediaPortal, User Files
There you should find the folder where skins belong.
If you still struggle please post full directory paths or even explorer screenprints. Also attach logs. We must be able to figure it out
