Well sorry to throw a major spanner in the works but mine works perfect here scanning takes which about a min, then refreshing epg takes about 5 mins and fills the guide completely No problems with tuner locking after the scan either and channel changing is quick without needing to reboot, I'm using a ss2 s2 card. The only category I noticed was missing is hd and add a couple of blank categories but that's easy enough to fix manually
I am also getting the problems with online videos with this latest svn release but that's not your problem
Just like to thank you for all your hard work you have put into this I'm sure it will make a lot of peoples christmas

Well that's good to hear!

Did you do a clean install or install over the top?

Does your Moving Pictures work?

I upgraded on top of the 1 from the 1st page which I upgraded from 1.2 alpha.
I have now installed the files from the 1st page back on top coz of the problems with online video and never tried moving pics with the new svn but it wasn't giving any error in configuration like online videos was.

Also I'm guessing you only have epg background (found under radio channels) selected to grab your epg as that's what's working for me on both the files from 1st page and latest files

No, only Onlinevideos gives an error.

However if you go into Moving Pictures, I just get a cursor moving across the screen, and it never brings up the list of movies.

Going back to the original SVN resolves the issue. I suspect that is a side issue though!

Wonder why an install over the top works for you and not for me?

OpenTV install automatically sets EPG Background as the channel to use, and I confirmed that it was set. Also I see it sets English as the language to grab.

I have found out there is an issue with Hauppage cards, which is mine.

I have improved the Scanning code. Takes 13 seconds now.

I didn't think of the HD Group. Doh! nor even removing them if the card is not DVB-S2.

I'll add that later on.

That would be great if you could add the hd cat but it's easy enough to add manually I should be recieving a tbs 6890 tomorrow so that will be another card to test aswell. I haven't done any uninstalls just upgraded every time I have changed between versions. I refreshed the epg manually with both version and both populate fully.

DJBlu, how easy would it be to have an option to automatically sort the scan by name rather than channel number? We don't show the channel numbers, so easier in alphabetical order!

DJBlu :- The EPG and channel scanning have been working 100% with the files you supplied, I'm using it on my test rig without any major issues. I did come across a small bug - if a radio channel becomes expired the "Old Sky Channels" channel group is not created in the Radio section it's created in the TV section.

My setup is Windows XP SP3 with a Terratec Cinergy DVB-S2 PCI card.

If you click on each Category in "Channels", then click on the Name header. This will sort them.

I can look into the coding but there is no function at the moment that reorders them.

Sorry my broadband is 500kbps here at work. 1.3 gig will take 3-4 days! When home I will download the older version.

Didn't think about the radio channels! doh.

I have improved the channel handling algorythm so you don't get channels moving that have no ChannelID.
