I understand about being able to channel sort by clicking on the column with the channel name..

Once I do this.. If new channels are added automatically in future, I presume they will be added at the bottom of the list instead of alphabetical order?

Will do a complete new install tonight - let you know how I get on!

Yes they will be added to the bottom.

Its not a simple procedure because MediaPortal uses a column called SortOrder in the GroupMap.

You have to Grab all the Channels for a group --> Get their Names --> Order them by Name --> Assign new numbers and then store them again.

It is possible but will take time.

Also if there are any Australia / NZ Users out there then please can you help by taking a recording of the default transponders.

The details are usually found on your Sky Box's under settings. Default Transponder.

If you are able then please record Pids 0x10 and 0x11.

I can then add the quick search for these 2 providers.

Hmm.. I have just done a complete reinstall (connected to my HTPC from work over a VPN).

The EPG grab now seems to work, but doesn't populate. i.e. after the scan, if I look in manual control I can see that the card is doing an EPG Grab. I let it finish then went into MP and the guide was empty.

I thought of something else too.. When a new channel is found, is it mapped to all cards? I had forgotten to set up the sats for my cards, until after I have done the scan, so had to go back and map all the channels to the cards. Just not sure if this is automated usually?

No, they are only mapped to the card you scan from.

If you set up your card for the scan. Scan for the channels it will populate the EPG.

EDIT : Moving Pictures and TV Series definitely have stopped working on this SVN whatever it is.

TV/EPG/Series Link etc is working perfectly however.

EDIT2 : left mouse click has stopped working within MePo..

I'm beginning to think there are some fairly big bugs in this SVN - can anyone else confirm or deny please?

You need to report it in the MediaPortal forums then, not this one, the devs don't look at this.

I've exported my channel lists, and gone back to a fresh install of 1.2.0A - all is fine again, but obviously I no longer have the channel scanning plugin etc.

I'll wait for a more stable SVN I think

Can confirm that Moving Pictures OnlineVideos and TV Series stoppped working in that SVN

I'm in Australia and kin to help. I will need some more info thou. We do not have Sky Box'es hera and my provider box is dusting the shelf since the first day i got it. But I don't remember any "Default Transponder" in the box I received.

I do have DVBWiewer and I can use the Transedit to record the iEPG transponder if that is what you need.

Before I built my HTPC, I used a Dreambox DM8000. On that, for EPG I used a plugin called CrossEPG - this supported UK, Italian and Australian OpenTV.
