Any chance of a new build based on a version of 1.2.0 which works with Moving Pictures & TV Series, and also incorporating Miroslav22's Disk IO patch (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...stuttering-corrupted-streaming-live-tv-91214/) ?

I reckon I should think about figuring out how to compile my own versions at some point, but currently trying to study an OU course!

Do you realise how ridiculous you sound? Sorry but what makes you think we have the time to make personal software for you?

Hi there

The best thing to do if you can't possibly wait for 1.2.0b is to learn how to compile your own MP. I know you said time is an issue for you, but time is an issue for us too. There are a million different patches and plugins floating around at the moment, and like DjBlu said (a little bluntly perhaps - please don't take offense), we can't really provide builds with particular patch configurations for every user.

There are instructions for compiling MP on the wiki here. Using TortoiseSVN makes adding patches really easy...

I wasn't asking for a specific build btw, just pointing out that the current compiled one doesn't work with Moving Pictures etc..

I'm using an iMac as my main machine, so presumably I would need to use my HTPC to do any compiling on since they appear to be .NET based.

I'll try to have a play later

Ah, okay. It is probable that this patch affects functionality that MovingPictures and other plugins also use. In that case, you might have to wait for 1.2.0 unless you are a programmer.

Correct - you need .NET support. Visual Studio also makes things easy. Like I said above though, it may just be best to wait unless you have the time and knowledge to get the patches and plugins to play nicely together.

Good point, I thought they were in the 1st post, but they appear to only be without the OpenTVScanner functionality..

ps - I did look at merging the 1.2alpha patch into the latest SVN, and there are some conflicts that will need resolving.

It's not sounding like something I can do then - and certainly not for a first attempt at downloading an SVN and compiling!

I'll have a go at just the core code for now I think to start off my learning curve

Ok, if you can get 7 days on a manual update, then it sounds like your settings might be wrong (or need tweaking) in TV Server "DVB EPG"

I think I had the same issue as you (although I can;t remember what I did yesterday!), and the only way I could force it was to tick the "Always try to update existing entries" option.

Just for info, my settings are:

Only select the EPG Background Audio Channel
Always try to fill holes (ooooer)
Always try to update existing entries
Enable CRC
EPG Grabbing while idle - Timeout 40 minutes (not sure why I chose that)
EPG Grabbing while idle - Refresh every 240

Cheers mate. I had the same settings as you (apart from timeout, which Ive now changed) so have disabled then re-enabled all the relevant options, and will keep an eye on it.
