Sky UK/IT/AUS enhancements (2 Viewers)

Hi all,

I've been away for a few days and have returned and am trying to find the latest ver for 1.2beta (after installing the 1st ver for 1.2beta).......can anyone point me?......I'm seeing files pointed from various threads. Are we downloading patches (new dll's) or complete packages.

ok i have a problem. i have been on 1.1.1 version with skyepg working ok. i just formatted my hard drive, installed win 7 64bit, installed mediaportal 1.2.0 beta but i cannot install sky epg. when i open installer it says its missing microsoft c++ 2008 redistributable atl update. I downloaded it a couple of times, installed but no go!
Any ideas???

Download and install the 32bit version also.

I tried, its a 300+ meg update but it wont install. I found two versions but neither would install... Ill try some more digging

Yes, just found it. I am an idiot. I thought I installed that one. After installing x86 version I got to installer. Thanks!

ok, so I installed everything as directed, replaced the latest plugin in tvserver, even deleted mptv database but when I tell the plugin to Grab it just says grabbing but nothing happens. dvb-s is idle but the plugin thinks its grabbing. i have set it to correct diseqc switch.. ideas to try?

Just did a grab, took 397 seconds with 40 - 50% usage on a Athlon X2 4200+.

It did mention something about "No NIT found for: 3827" and "No NIT found for: 4641" anything to worry about?

Not quite right...

Hmmm... more not right, No BBC 1/2 or ITV1 in the Entertainment group, but they're in the Channels group unchecked. I chose England (BBC) / South (ITV) as the region.

Religion is empty, groups called "0" and "122" with random channels in, only 5 channels in News... Logs attached

Hi,

Took another look at this.................I did see some instructions earlier for EXACT procedure but seem to have lost the web page.

Having installed the original 1.2.0beta SKY EPG & Scanner, I replaced the DLL from the ....1.2.0.2.zip, deleted mysql database, setup my Hauppauge card (Nova HD S2) as SimpleA in both TV Servers & SKU UK GRABBER.

Hit Grab Now and it scanned & populated just fine.

Ran up MP and NO SIGNAL..........back to TV Server Config and under Test Channels I notice that a test on ENTERTAINMENT I get a mix of NO SIGNAL or CHANNEL IS NOT MAPPED TO ANY CARD........no channels appear to be mapped.

Back up to TV Mapping and all channels are apparently mapped to the card just fine.

PS. I have 2off Nova HD S2 cards fitted, but before I did any scanning I disabled 1off them......just so that the SKY UK only sees 1off.

Sorry I have not got around to testing my USB Hauppauge DVB-S card.

PS. Database update 193 secs last time around.....can vary though.

PPS. Could the downloads/DLL updates and instructions be centralized please.

Also whilst I'm on it, a minor graphical issue. On the general tab of the plugin, if you resize the window the "Sky Channel Grabber Settings" area moves with the resize but no other panel does.

@wonkyd, I think you'll benefit from the CRC check I'll be adding.

Hopefully it's just caused by the heavy rain/t-storms we're having down here!

UPDATE: It seams I got it to work finally. I deleted the Sky UK grabber channel and renamed radio channel epg background audio (i dont think that made any difference but i did it just in case) and now it populated database in 199 seconds
