Slow down DVD drive (1 Viewer)

I was wondering if anyone uses a program to slow down the DVD drive to reduce heat and more importantly so when watching a movie you do not hear the spinning of the DVD drive.

There are not many choices that I know of:

CD Bremse
AnyDVD

I used Nero Drive Speed before so maybe you can look for that too.

MP1 MP2 1.37 Seeking within a program after changing channels does not work while watching live TV DE

@CyberSimian Sorry, I missed your last post. I ended up doing a clean install on the client and all is well now. It still doesn't let me go back in time when I change channels but it does continue operating from that point on. I'm ok with that. Thanks for your help! When I first start watching a TV program the timeshift functions works perfectly. I can shift back and forth in time and it works...
