Probably a Christmas present (means Christmas 2018)...
Seriously, nobody knows when all things planed for MP 2.2 are ready and usable... As always, "it's ready when it's ready".
I'm glad I finally ran across this thread, because I was getting frustrated adding album art (cover art) to some of my .mp3's, clicking [ReImport], then wondering why the album art didn't appear. As described here, deleting the media source then re-adding did work. It seems to me that the big issue here is that "ReImport" is a poor term to use, at least for now. A much better choice (although wordy) would be "Scan For New Files". If the new v2.2 functionality of looking for file changes replaces the current functionality of merely looking for new files, then "ReImport" would be closer to the truth. Strictly speaking, though, "ReImport" implies a total reload of the database, not just a delta, so that even the new v2.2 functionality won't correct a corrupted entry in the database for a non-changed file.
Some of the confusion can be avoided by having documentation on what these functions actually do. I thought I had reviewed the documentation on this, but if it's fully described there, I apologize.
The joys of technical writing, and proper terminology.
Hi.
I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database".
Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...

Fixed, I think.
Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this.
Last time when I installed the...

The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release.
It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases.

I do not know why this xml was in my theme folders, it must have sneaked in some time ago (years?). I simply removed the file. The Latest Media Handler plugin seems to be working as expected. I've had no lock-ups.

My problem is that I would like to switch from Kodi to Mediaportal. In Kodi, putting an Extras folder in the same folder as the movie automatically manages all the extras on the Bluray, so my library is organized in this way. Moving everything would be a very long job (I have more than 2800 movies), plus I would lose the Extras...
