One of the links are for Moving Pictures, and there is a patch. But a little outdated as I understand from the thread.
How do you think this function should work?
Separate language selection for audio - differ from Series language. Or should the audio language be the same as Series, if exists?
Looking at the issue 653, that involve parsing in the import... Then when the files are parsed, I don't see that isn't necessary to add the same files multiple times, so there maybe should be a DB field that contains a string like "en | cz | sk". And depending on the audio setting or the Series Language the player gets the right file.
Then there's the file(s) with multiple auto in the file. These files needs to be inspected with something like mediainfo....
Hi. I expect to see EN, DE right next to audio codec icon in gui. Probably it needs to modify local_episodes db table as it holds mediainfo data for every file
An icon where the arrow are on the attached picture?
And if you got something like ten different audio versions of the same file. Then there should be ten different icons?
Yes the place is right. Currently if you have ten differrent versions of the same episode you will see them as separate items in list. But in case they have common mediainfo but different languages you cant differ them from each other. But if some language indication will be present in gui it could be simple.
In the issue 653 it talked about series like this:
SeriesX.s01e01.English.avi
SeriesX.s01e01.French.avi
SeriesX.s01e01.German.avi
etc.
Since I don't have any of this, how does the TV-Series plugin handle this today?
Do you have a screenshot to share?
I have played little around with the MediaInfo program, and many series don't have the language property some have, but mostly don't.
So the the best thing maybe is to parse the file name.... if language property is in it!
I don't think filename parsing is right but Mediaportal itself is doing it during handling external audio files [emoji3] I think we should rely on mediainfo. If it has language data let it be shown in gui. If it doesn't have such data we dont show it. It's simple. My files have language code in mediainfo usually.
Interesting. :coffee:
I always have DVB subtitles enabled in "MP Config", but I actually switch on subtitles only for those films that have deafening sound effects and music, combined with inaudible dialogue. I have never noticed the problem that you have described, but I also use the EVR renderer, and not the Madvr renderer. So...

I'm running 2.5 with the WMC skin.
I have .mp4 files, along with the related .srt files in the same folder.
I can watch the movies just fine.
In past versions of MP, like 2.4x, I could press the More Info button on my remote twice, and on the second press, an option for showing/choosing the subtitles was listed. I'd select the...

I do not know why this xml was in my theme folders, it must have sneaked in some time ago (years?). I simply removed the file. The Latest Media Handler plugin seems to be working as expected. I've had no lock-ups.

I have recently installed MediaPortal 1.37 (x64) and MP-TVSeries v4.5.1.697 and unfortunately the TV episode runtime duration is missing in my Titan skin. This only applies to my .TS files, my .MKV files are OK. I believe the difference is likely to be because .MKV files embed the runtime in the file unlike .TS files.
I have done...
