I still have major problems with switching channels. Sometimes the picture freezes and sometimes the stream dosn't show up. Im using the latest svn and the latest edition of the TV server and plugin.
At first: I have two DVB-s-cards (look my stystem)
If I selected the same tv-program on the client and on the server, both runs.
If I selected another program on the client, the client on the server changed to the same program (its look like a remote )
If I changed from the same program on the server to another program, the client dont change another program, but hangs a short time.
It happened only then, when "CARD2" is selected, not on "CARD1"
I have attached the logfiles from all clients and from the server.
Another error is bad playing (stuttering) a record from the client

I have my share of problems when changing channels.
I finally took my time to try and brew up a bug report for the devs.
When I start the MP client I am mostly only allowed 2-3 channel changes before the client either shows me a black screen often still while responding.
With responding I mean that the client OSD is still responsive to keyboard presses etc. I can still try to change to yet another channel. Although once it has gone black
the picture will remain black on all channels until I restart the client MP.
In these situations where the MP client has gone black but still responding if I try and close down the client by alt-F4 or simply by using the OSD, then it hangs.
I then have to "end task" it.
Even in these cases with a black screen the client freezes up when changing to a yet another channel.
It doesn't matter if I change to a FTA on my dvb-t yakumo stick.
Or if I change to a FTA channel on the skystar2.
The same problem.
Max. 2-3 channel changes allowed before black screen or freeze up. Sometimes more channel changes, but not often.
I monitored the network traffic to and from the client. When a channel is tuned correctly 5% network usage is shown in the task manager (100mbit).
When a channel is tuned but a black screen is shown, then 0%. No traffic in other words.
When a black screen occurs I just need need to close down the client and restart it. ( Sometimes with the help of task manager . )
The TVserver service does not need to be restarted in order to have a picture on the new client instance.
Also please note that the tvserver shows the correct information when changing channel on the client. Even if the client only shows a black screen.
The "streaming server" tab shows the currently tuned channel. The same goes for the "manual control" tab.
Nothing missing there I guess.
I have attached the logs generated by the client and the server. Also included the clients .xml setup files.
The logs are generated by this following client/server scenario.
1) Log dirs on both server and client are cleaned out. (removing old log files.)
2) tvserver started ok.
3) mp client started ok.
4) changing to channel DR1 on dvb-t. Picture comes up ok.
5) changing to channel DR2 on dvb-t. Picture comes up ok.
6) changing to channel Tv2 on dvb-t. Picture comes up ok.
7) changing to channel DR1 on dvb-t. Picture comes up ok.
8) changing to channel DR2 on dvb-t. Picture is black.
9) exiting MP client. it hangs. taskmanager "end task".
note;
I only have 3 channels on my dvb-t stick.
1) DR1
2) DR2
3) TV2
What more useful info can I mention ??
I can reproduce this problem on my laptop client also.
The server is not acting as a client.
I did try and change the various directshow filters, using the default mpv and mpa. No effect.
I did try and uninstall everything and starting from a fresh 2.2 + latest svn using default settings. no effect.
I am currently moving away from a fully working dvbviewer client/server.
This proves that the hardware/drivers should be working, atleast with dvbviewer.
I just hate its OSD interface.
channel-changing with 12633 seems better, but on client a llittle slow.
But this error exists further (look above posting from me):
At first: I have two DVB-s-cards (look my stystem)
If I selected the same tv-program on the client and on the server, both runs.
If I selected another program on the client, the client on the server changed to the same program (its look like a remote )
If I changed from the same program on the server to another program, the client dont change another program, but hangs a short time.
It happened only then, when "CARD2" is selected, not on "CARD1"
I have marked the location in tv.txt where the error is coming up.
