the guy who did the xfactor mods is in holiday in japan, maybe when he comes back. i spent a few hours on it but i didn't get anywhere and gave up. i got a little done but progress was too slow and girlfriend will kill me!

Well I'm back from vacation (I already was for a few weeks) but don't expect any more work from me on this. I switched back to Monochrome. So I'm not using this skin anymore, besides that I have not much free time left... sorry.

Streamed MP looks so great, but I'm missing support for Youtube.fm and My StreamRadio V2 Plugin. Are there working xml's available?

    try:

    Code:

OSD, progressbar, etc. at top of the screen

    Hiya,

I'm not sure if this had been done yet, but my 5min. search didn't produce any results so...

I've been doing some modifying this weekend. I don't know about the rest of you but I didn't really like the OSD, progressbar,... being at the bottom of the screen. Guess it's just something personal:) Also, it got in the way of the subtitles.

So I've been working on putting them at the top. Obviously it's not perfected yet, but it's very much functional, so I thought I'd share with you guys. Help and/or suggestions are welcomed.

    Bugs and stuff:
    - As you can see I haven't yet figured out what I'm going to do with the clock
    - Don't know if this is normal and how to fix it, but when paused the media-info scrolls faster than in the other OSD-thingy :D
    - I had to change the ID of the progressbar-backgroundimage to be able to utilise the <visible> tag, can't figure out why this is.

    Definitely right approach.

I am looking forward to final result.

Will you keep us updated ?

I'm working on a mod for music > now playing screen that incorporates fan art. This is what I've done so far any criticisms/ideas. I strongly feel that the nowplaying screen should incorporate artist fanart just like the rest of mediaportal. Since the audioscrobber plugin includes a fanart grabber, it only takes a couple of clicks to populate the mediaportal appdata thumbs directory. Anyway's, here are some images and the attached artist overlay i'm using. These are just mockups because i'm having trouble with the xml skin coding. If someone is good at coding they could probably finish this off for me very quickly as I've done most of the hard bits. I've found that a lot of the artist images are not very high resolution so I've designed it so the artist image takes up a smaller portion of the screen so it never looks too blocky (I run 1920x1080 res).

This is what it looks like if there is no fanart found, it just uses the hoverimage as a background beneath the overlay
(It would be also easy to just have random my music fanart displayed if no fanart is found for the now playing artist

    Here is the overlay

And here is the overlay without any fanart or the hoverimage background

This is where the artist image should be placed
