Maybe I've only checked at the times they popped back on for a moment, but I have not experienced any downtime. Of course many other factors could be at play, such as the GeoIP location, but does it work again for you as well?

MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
