    @MoPhat
    That were the point i mentioned before mtn.exe often crashed / fails to create a thumb. What about using ffmpeg for MPEG2 and only mtn.exe for h264?

    Why, with just mtn it works great on my test systems and on my main system (my wife is using every day ;))

    please be patient for the next release and then we can try if this works.

    HAS ANYONE A WORKING THUMBNAILS WITH THE LATEST RELEASE?

    ...and please deactivate the thumbnail generation in the MP config...

    thx

    I'm getting nothing, I think it's loading up...

    Once I get this going it would be nice to have the column and rows option.. I use this with MTN as a batch process but would be much more keen to use your plugin instead...

    Ok, just to make it clear to me: videothumbnailer, thumbnailer, and moviethumbnailer are all the same plugin. This plugin is a standard plugin of MP and should create thumbnails of videofiles and recordings.
    Unfortunately the standard bundled plugin (mtn.exe) of the latest stable MP version keeps crashing...but as far as I can read here that issue is being worked on.
    Why is there no bugreport for it? When no bugreports of existing bugs and problems appear in the list this always gives me the eary feeling that the problem will still be in the new stable version...

    Great!
    Since it is a standard integrated plugin in MP, are you going to submit this to the "Submit Patches" forum thread so everybody can enjoy thumbnails with videofiles and recordings again?

    Hi kkendall,

    I think this is no standard plug in. The only thing what is distributed with the standard package is mtn. On the other site I am wondering myself why a general video thumnailer is not integrated in MP?!
