Thumbnailer - creates automaticly thumbnails from videos and tv recordings (3 Viewers)

I just downloaded this plugin, and all I get is a .rar file with ffmpeg.exe, ffmpeg.gpl, and Thumbnailer.dll. No mpi file, no instructions on installing, nothing. What exactly am I supposed to do with this to get it working?

Just put this three files in you mediaportal \ plugins \ process folder and change the settings in the mediaportal config... thats all.

Ah, that was the problem. I had unrar'd it and moved the folder to that directory, not the individual files. Thanks!

Ther is some issue when the Thumbnailer is processing large recordings (TS files), it can be that MP hung for a few seconds...

I transfer later the code to a own thread where is creating the thumbs so that MP is not disturbed anymore (hopely)

Can anyone give feedback if the thumbs are created while a show is recorded on his machine?

das es bei mir nicht funktioniert lag an dem
F:\TV\MediaPortal\MusicPlayer\plugins\visualizations\
installationsfehler. anzeige geht jetzt auch.

hatte damit schon öfters probleme, aber ihn mittlerweile völlig vergessen.

Merkwürdig

hab grad etwas sehr merkwürdiges festgestellt, aber von vorn.
nachdem dein plugin endlich auch bei mir funktioniert wollte ich es auch auf dem htpc einrichten.
auf diesem rechner wurden zwar die thumbs erzeugt aber nicht angezeigt.
wenn ich mit filemon nachsehe ob bzw. was er für thumbs/logos laden will sehe ich das im dateinahmen immer noch
ein .jpg eingefügt wird, also aus
Notruf Hafenkante - ZDF - 2008-08-07.png
wird

was dann natürlich nicht gefunden wird. ärgerlich, da es nicht funktioniert und ich den grund nicht finde habe ich
mir gedacht dann kann ich ja auch wieder die "originale" tvplugin.dll benutzen.
nach dem start vom mp war ich dann allerdings baff, da hatte ich auf einmal die bilder.
vielleicht kannst du dir da einen reim darauf machen.

ps: bei den aufnahmen hast du das löschen nachdem löschen vergessen.

hab das jetzt mal andersrum gemacht, auf dem testsystem.
auf dem rechner habe ich keine bilder mit der orginal tvplugin.dll und habe jetzt mit filemon geschaut was an
grafikdateien gesucht wird. ergebnis ist genau anders herum, es werden dateien gesucht mit ".jpg.png" am ende.
es muss doch möglich sein herauszubekommen warum es auf einem rechner funktioniert auf dem anderen nicht.
vor allem brauchtest du dann ja nicht immer die tvplugin.dll anpassen.

Kann nicht sein da die original Codezeilen immer einen leeren string ("") zurück geben, bei mir zumindest.
Daher wird die Codeänderung später wahrscheinlich in den SVN einfliessen so dass alle etwas davon haben und nicht immer eine angepasste Version downloaden müssen

No its not possible because the orignial codeline does return a empty (not null) string, at least at my system.
I think the codechange will be incuded in one of the next svn releases that anyone can use this feature without downloading a special tvpligin.dll.

ist natürlich blöd das du das nicht nachvollziehen kannst.
ob dann alle etwas davon haben sei dahingestellt, der rechner wo es mit der originalen dll
funktioniert ist erst kürzlich neu aufgesetzt und nur das nötigste drauf.
der andere ist relativ "versaut", wo ich dann die mod. dll benötige, was mich zu dem schluß
bringt das die originale dll die bessere ist.
