is there a keyboard shortcut or action to turn on and off the tv tuner in the tv window. I'm looking to program one of my remote buttons to turn off the tv+timeshifting when it is hit.

thanks mPod. I also figured out that if i just map the button to the home menu, it shuts off the tv. so i might as well just do that.

Thanks!

When you leave the TV module and then hit stop (or B), isn't the tv card technically still recording? When I go back to tv, I can hit rewind as if I never stopped watching. The only reason I ask is because I like to leave the MP on all the time, but when I turn off the tv for the night I wouldn't want the card to actually be encoding all night. I imagine that might lead to its early demise if it is working all the time. Right now I have the remote setup where when I hit power, HIP passes the command to go to the MyTV module, go down 4 times, then enter. It would be nice to have just one button that stops the tv by turning the tv function off. I didn't see that option in any of the custom keyboard commands, but maybe I just can't find it. I really appreciate any help or advice you might be able to offer.

Sorry, it's my fault -- I did not notice that you are using MP2. :( MP1 has a separate configuration utility, similar to "TV Server Config". It may seem strange, but the open-source license allows anyone to sell physical CDs or DVDs to customers, provided that, for example, the source code is made available upon request and additional value is provided, such as an installation manual. Both of these are mentioned in the product description, so it appears to be legitimate...

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.

@CyberSimian Sorry, I missed your last post. I ended up doing a clean install on the client and all is well now. It still doesn't let me go back in time when I change channels but it does continue operating from that point on. I'm ok with that. Thanks for your help! EDIT: I now downgraded the server (as I did with the client above)...
