    Hi there

Unfortunetly i dont know of any websites with HD channel information...so unless u want to just grab the "Digital" channels info for the "HD" channel..it seems theres no other way of doing it....of couse it will be inaccurate...but thats an option for the time being

    New version of TVxb.exe (1.0080)

A new version (v1.0080) of TVxb is available which now includes the feature of combining a program that was split over midnight, into a single program. This was an annoying problem when using "ourguide.com" - programs spanning midnight would often be shown in the EPG as 2 separate programs.

New TVxb.ini files for most of the capital cities in Australia, using this new "continueshow" feature with "ourguide.com" are available here.

The EPG in MediaPortal is now even better with this latest release... :)

A further update for those using the ourguide.com.au website to grab the EPG data, I have discovered that they update their next week's guide data on Thursdays at noon, Melbourne time.

So, if you set your EPG grabber (TVxb) to pull the data after midday on Thursdays, you can get the next 10 days schedule through to (and including) the following Saturday week.... :D

I should point out that you will get 10 days of program schedules the first time you run the grab, but each subsequent run will than add on the next 7 days since you already have the first 3 days from the previous grab.

I.e, the first time you run it, you get from Thursday to Saturday week (10 days), but the second and subsequent times it just adds from Sunday to Saturday week (7 days), as you already have the 3 days from Thursday to Saturday from the previous grab.

I hope that makes sense..... :?

Ninemsn have started encrypting their pages... so my nice Bladerunner pro EPG, which I tweaked to pick up Optus and FTA is scr@wed.

I'll take a look at TVxb...

...and just when I get my Optus Digital STB blaster working!

Hey voxmortis - there is a new version of Bladerunner that works - check out: http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/community/showthread.php?p=35353#post35353

It no longer uses tvharvest and I haven't been able to make it work on my non-MCE box but it is out :| If you have any success please let me know.

I am currently trying to get tv_grab_au_tuhs working - it grabs from the OzTivo's tvguide.org.au but the python uses a function (tzset() ) that isn't supported on windows so I'm trying to work-around that - I'll post back if I have success. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

BKCH I didn't have much luck with the OzTivo method, but then again, I have no experience with Python so you have a big advantage over me.

If you do get it working, that will be excellent, as the OzTivo guys seem to have the best features of all the TV Guides.

    BKCH,

Bladerunner Pro (new one) doesn't use TVHarvest, and ONLY downloads free-to-air stuff... I need my Optus/Fox!

I've got Bladerunner to work in MP if you want me to email you the batch files I wrote etc...

    Cheers, Doug.

Hmm - bummer - I need my foxtel EPG before I get divorced (or at the very least HTPC funding approval gets revoked!)

I'm still working on the grabber for tvguide.org.au - to be honest I think this is the long term answer for both FTA and pay EPG in Australia - I used to have a TiVo and always found the data to be pretty good.

It would be ideal if the guys behind WebEPG could add the authentication capability to their app so they could have a grabber for tvguide.org.au :)

Having said all that - is there anyone out there who has a working EPG for pay tv in Australia???

voxmortis - please do pm me those batch files - at least I could get FTA working... (I think/hope the guys behind Bladerunner might be working on pay grabber as well)

Well, I had already recognized your problem, but I still wanted to point out the basic connections once again. Unfortunately, I don't have a fundamentally different solution for you, but with this approach you should achieve your goal. ;) The idea of first setting the current genre colors with the defines is certainly a good one, as...

I used to use the grabber but a few years back it disappeared on FreeSat DVBS. That is when I changed to EPG Collector. The extra benefit is that it collects from the Sky platform so it will give EPG for all the FreeSat channels plus the unencrypted movie channels on the Sky platform. It also allows me to pick the channels dedicated...

Hi This is a general question about OnX. I have been using the TvWishList plugin for a while and have recently updated (update install) from MP 1.36 x86 to 1.37 x86 and found there seemed to be no Onx menu in the TV guide. I then configured the onx.presets.xml file like I would normally do with updates or fresh installs, but still...

How does the Timezone flag work? What input is it looking for? I went through the source code and all I saw was "America/New_York." I tried "America/Chicago" but still getting GMT times in the xmltv.xml file. Edit: Got this figured out. In the XmlTv plugin, you need to select "Apply timezone compensation when loading tvguide.xml" and...
