Really strange and not sure understand, but today the tv-server works again, this after my htpc has been turned off all day
!
Yesterday I wasnt able to even open the tv-server config, same error message every time after more reboots!
Usually the pc is never shut down, only rebooted after updates or to solve problems.
Guess rebooting and shut down/restart maybe is not all the same?

Yes, rebooting and shut down + restart are not the same. One example of a difference (at least on my PC): hardware is not redetected - if there was a random hardware problem that needed the hardware to have a full reset then it is best to do shut down + restart. I still can't explain the problem (seems like it wasn't an MP problem???) but I'm glad you are back up and running.

The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release.
