Hi,

I have just installed the Mediaportal and have gone to the TV Set-up screen where it is asking me to enter an IP address or host name of the master tv service. Does anyone know what I should enter here?

it looks as your tvservice is not loading so u cant conect to tvserver.

Hi,

as Gixxer said. First run the TV server Configuration. After that the service should run and will be automatically found in hte TV setup screen. (When using single-seat, client and server on the same machine).

I am trying to test the TV Server configuration the user name and passward are not working. I don't think that I originally set these up during installation. How do I go back and do this?

U should read the text that appears during the installation, its there for something.

When u are installing it says, password is "MediaPortal" without the quotation marks. User should already appear, if not, i think its "as"

Great, that worked!....I'm not great with computers and even worse with instructions, so this installation will be interesting.
