Hello
So you want the picture to be stretched to full screen, regardless of whether that stretching makes things look wider or thinner than they should?
If so, use the the TV Zoom configuration section under TV/radio in MediaPortal configuration, as shown in the wiki:

Change default mode to the one that you prefer.

Oh, then just click on the picture (or press the x key on your keyboard).
You can also enable the option to automatically show full screen TV in MediaPortal Configuration in the TV subsection under TV/radio, as shown here:

Tick the "directly show fullscreen TV" option.

Your observation is correct mate. Last time this happened the fires of hell invaded all shopping centers... this time I seem to be the only one in need - which is quite uncomfortable at best. I guess I should look for an alternate solution until and if other MP users realize they have no guide listings.

TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page.
Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases.
