If your not using the new TV engine, what are you using to watch tv , i think you will have to install mediaportal ver 1.0.2 or V1.1 beta, along with the tv server , then find the folder with the TuningParameters....C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TuningParameters\dvbt... and copy and paste my TuningParameters for uk winterhill to update them

click yes - i will use mediaportal to watch tv when installing

i can only give advice on the ver of mediaportal with tvserver that i have installed

When you install the latest version of MP it gives you a choice of installing the newer tv engine or using the old built in tv tuner. I am using the old tv tuner as I previously said.

I gathered how to use the dvbt file from the post with the TV engine. However my question was how to use it if possible in the old tv tuner.

Thanks anyway, I will have to figure it out myself.

Yogiman!

Just in case you didn't know, the MP 1.1.0 will not have the old TV engine, it has been completely removed now.

Yes I was aware of that thanks, however that will be the point when I say astalavista to MP as the new TV engine places too much overhead on my mediapc as does the latest version of MP to be honest so I will be moving to one of the linux options rather than put my hand in my pocket, Times are hard don't you know :) Anyway the direction MP is going I need to spend too much money on hardware to keep up with it so I am afraid it's bye bye, shame really as I've always loved MP.

    Cheers

Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

Does anyone else have problem with long (several hours) pauses of TV broadcasts? If I pause and forget, I can still resume TV the next day, but if I try to change channel or stop, MP freezes. Only way to fix is to restart both MP and TV Service. Sometimes I need to restart PC It seems that TVServer cannot proprtly handle large...
