I would like to know the test results from the ATI card well, if possible. Tomorrow I will try the other way...

Re: AW: Video and sound syncronisation

small update of video player + media plugin. I'm now waiting in EVR callback until the render process is finished. Does it work better now? https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/811847-post71.html

If not I will try another way, based on the former StretchRect version.

    Still no ATI, sorry...

Here that's very good, almost perfect. Just I still can have a random frame blinking between other frames like yesterday. You'll find the logs attached if it can help, the video started immediately to blink. Note that going to the previous screen with the top left arrow stops the blinking for a moment. I was able to watch 20 minutes of video without any problem. I think it's not related to NVidia, but that it's rather a multithreading problem maybe. Is it possible ?

HD TV is now Ok : no more stutter.

    Cheers.

    Hi Morpheus,

this last update gives me the best quality on my laptop (intel mobile GPU) so far. Not a single stutter or flicker in 20mins, tested with a tv recording, an avi and a dvd iso. Even with unusual refresh rates (40hz). Perfect!

Will test on my htpc (AMD 5450) as soon as possible - next weekend at the latest.

BTW: I would also test with a bluray iso, but when I try to start it, I get "There is no player registered to play media item XYZ". I suppose the reason is that BDReader.ax is not rgistered (don't have the Bluray test-version of MP1 installed). But when I try to execute "regsvr32 BDReader.ax", I get an error. Error and logs attached. If this is too much ot, please let me know and I'll open another thread...

    cheers,
    Michael

thanks, I will try to improve this version a bit further. maybe(!) we can even get rid of the texture copy inside video brush.

regarding the BDReader.ax, it fails to register on my htpc as well. I think I accidently compiled this version as debug, and this requires some debug-dlls of the VC runtime. I'll check to replace the file by an release compile.

    Hi,

On my main computer, it works like a charm for now : more than 40 minutes without a problem. I'll try on my new laptop tomorow, and on the old monday (I don't have the old one with me right now).

    Will report back.

    Morpheus, you're a a magician !!!! Again a few tries, and we'll close that thread !!!

    Thank you so mutch.

    Smeulf.

[Edit] Arf, did not tried the PIP before my post : it slowing down the main video and cause A/V sync problems. Also it's very long to start.. PIP stutters a bit [/Edit]

    Hi everybody,

just found the time to do some tests...

First of all, bdreader in version 111202 can now be registered. Thanks Morpheus! However, I only have two BD-isos at the moment, both are not in the compatibility list and both do not work. Will try with some other BDs in the next days...

I tested two versions regarding stuttering / flickering: 111202 and 111130
Both versions tested on both machines I have available: laptop (Intel mobile GPU) and htpc (AMD 5450)

The result is that both versions give me a perfect picture on both machines. No flickering, no stuttering, perfect! Tested with an avi, a live tv recording and a DVD iso.

I can, however, partly confirm Smeulfs findings about PIP. I don't have the slow down or A/V sync problems with PIP. But what I observed is that the little PIP screen stutters, when it shows the AVI. It does not stutter on the fullscreen-video and it does not stutter when the ts-stream or the DVD-iso are in the little PIP screen. Sounds strange, I know, but maybe it gets clearer with this list:

fullscreen: AVI, PIP-Screen: tv recroding ==> no stutter
fullscreen: tv recordig, PIP-Screen: AVI ==> fullscreen ok, but PIP stutters
fullscreen: DVD-iso, PIP-Screen: AVI ==> fullscreen ok, but PIP stutters
    fullscreen: AVI, PIP-Screen: DVD-iso ==> no stutter

Hope this helps. Keep up the good work, guys, this is definitely the right way!

    cheers,
    Michael

when you get the small stuttering in PiP, do both videos have the same fps?

it could explain small stutters if one clip is 25fps, the other one 23.976 fps
