video & music shared playlist (1 Viewer)

I'd like something simmillar, I have about 1000 music videos and there is no easy way of playing them, that i've found. (unless i've missed something obvious)

currently there's no way to mix music and video in a playlist. sorry.

Maybe in the future, as this requires a total redesign of the system.

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ?
MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo.

To other people reading about this 'issue', Doskabouter provided me with a fix/patch. It is a modified version of tswriter.ax which solved the problem with dolby digital plus audio.

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...
