does anyone use "teleboy.ch" - since this morning, it only returns the index pages to WG++.
Site changes? Discontinuing the service?
I'm not a specialist in configuration, but I'd like to keep teleboy as a "provider".
ANy Info?

Hi,

so first of all. I love the scraper. It works really great and the incremental download is really time saving.

The only problem I have is the following:
I wanted to create a task in Windows 7 with which I want to start the WebGrab+ exe every night, like I made it so many times before with some other xmltv grabber but it doesn't work. The exe is never executed but I don't know why. I also tried to start it always as Administrator and I tried another installation folder outside of "program files" due to possible problems with administration / system folder problems.

Does anyone else also have this type of problems?

Dear hafblade,

this is a widely discussed issue under Win7 and you may find many many hints about that but not a REAL solution.
It has nothing to do with WebGrab+Plus itself - I'm running two servers with WG++ - on the one machine it gets executed perfectly, on the other one, it is never executed like in your case - both run the exactly same task configuration.
Many proposals are present, none of them helped me on the second machine.

If you get it done, you may shortly tell us here - if not, maybe you can establish a kind of "work-around" like I did. PM me, if you want to..

I don't understand this. All other executable files which I ever used where able to execute.
Batch files and exe files. What's your workaround?

You say it's a problem with Windows 7? But why do other files work?
Do you think it's a compatibility thing (perhaps use Windows 95 mode or so)?

p.s.
I'll try the compatibility thing and some other things like selecting the execute folder today afternoon. Perhaps this helps. I'll write here if it works.

I tried this grabber and the first day was very promissing, EPG was showing everything includig the description of the program. Now, after a couple of days, the description has vanished and some holes are appearing.
I've attached a picture and the logs of MP and TVserver in this mail.
Ow BTW I did also run the grabber twice, but that seems to solve the issue.

Can somebody please help me to solve this?

For a while now I'm strugling to get my EPG working.
I tried this grabber and the first day was very promissing, EPG was showing everything includig the description of the program. Now, after a couple of days, the description has vanished and some holes are appearing.
I've attached a picture and the logs of MP and TVserver in this mail.
Ow BTW I did also run the grabber twice, but that seems to solve the issue.

Can somebody please help me to solve this?

no, it's not a compatibility issue.
What you might want to check, ist, that the user you're running the task under has full access to \ProgramData\ServerCare\WebGrab and its subdirectories. You need not run it as Administrator if your batch file works with the standard user.
And: set the execution path (option) in the task scheduler and use in any case quotes for your paths and executable.

Possible work-arounds:
- if you have any bat or cmd file that runs from task manager, try to invoke it from there; use the "call" command
- if you re-boot your machine regularly, put it in the Startup folder of your start menu
- run it on another machine and copy / move it to the designated machine in your network.

Yes, it IS a Win7/Win Server 2008/Vista issue, you find many many discussions about it, e.g.: Scheduled task won't run .bat file
