That worked a treat! Thanks very much!

Thanks also for taking the time to explain. I love to understand what is going on and I am learning lots as I go. I'm sure it will assist others in the future too. It means that that they (and me) do not continue to ask the same questions when you have provided very clear and simple instructions to follow. It truly is very much appreciated!

I have updated my config file above with the changes.

    Since the MSLegacy download hasn't updated in a week, I've been trying to get WebGrab++ working. Haven't seen anyone else from the USA in the forum yet so let me ask for help.

    I created a TVGuide account, exported the cookies from IE9 and named a few OTA channels from the TVGuide site.
    Grabber seems to be working, but I get no data.

    I think the problem is in the naming of the channels, but I can't find any listing for channel names other than the ones as they are listed in the guide.

    Attached is the log file and the config file.

    Would really like to get this working as my guide runs out in 3 days.

    Sorry for not answering earlier, for some reason I wasn't notified.

    It's rather late and Christmas eve so I won't go in detail now. You have to wait until tomorrow for that.

    Please read the two guidelines of how to add a provider listing , tvguide.com.howtoaddprovider.txt and TvGuide.com.Countries&Providers.txt.
    These guides are located in SiteIni.Pack9.0 @http://www.servercare.nl/Docs/SiteIni.Pack.9.rar in the folder Networks.

    Thank you very much for the reply.
    I was able to follow the instructions and got it working.
    Unfortunately, TVGuide national doesn't include any of the 20 or so local stations we have here, only the major national channels.
    But, the MS site and mc2xml are back up, so my guide is up to date.
    I'm going to continue to work with Grabber to see if I can get the local station listings. Before that I think I'll correct the naming of the channels for MP so I can import the Grabber guide into MP and see how the information compares.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours!

    AW: WebGrab+Plus a new xmltv grabber

    Hi.

    WebGrab seems to fail with TVInfo (exception) and shows Suspicious warnings in log for TVToday as title on index page and detail pages sometimes differs slightly.

    Cheers.

    Very nice tool... just one problem with the French and Belgian grabbers.

    * I cannot use the 'telerama.fr' source - no update
    * Could you add a Belgian French source ? (telemoustique.be, cinetelerevue.be, skynet.be or another)

    Thanks again for this powerfull tool :)

    French language sites the program supports;:

    For Belgium : mon-programme-tv.be (= new )
    For France : tvtv.fr , telerama.fr (see remark) , telerama.fr.index-only and skysiertv.com.

    You will find the siteini's and the channelfiles @ http://www.servercare.nl/Docs/SiteIni.Pack.9.rar

    Remark about telerama.fr:
    Indeed there is a small problem with it. The productiondate scrub creates an runtime error. If you want to use that you must disable the line :
    productiondate.scrub {multi (separator="*"" " exclude="<a href=")|<p class="tv10-fiche-head-sout">|</a>|</p>|</p>}
    by adding a * at the beginning like :
    *productiondate.scrub {multi (separator="*"" " exclude="<a href=")|<p class="tv10-fiche-head-sout">|</a>|</p>|</p>}

    I will have a look at the sites you suggest when I have time.

    hope this helps ... WG++Maker ... Jan

    Cheers.

    The warnings about differences between index_title and title are normal with sites that have some differences between these titles. Nothing to worry about.

    I couldn't reproduce the exception error. Can you send me the channel entry in the config file that produces this error.

    Hi Jan,

    very nice tool. I'am using it and works very good,
    but I can confirm the info of grubi. I have the same exceptions.
    You can use your channel-file in your Site-Ini-Pack.

    for example one channel-line:

    <channel update="i" site="tvinfo.de" site_id="22" xmltv_id="pro7">pro7</channel>

    I get the same exceptions with it.

    Where are the ratings icons supposed to be installed? I have a local copy of the icons, I followed the example in the documentation to modify the ratings-icon elements. To which directory do I need to copy them so I can see the icons in the guide? Or is this possible?

    Thanks

    I found the error .. and have corrected the program code.
    In V109 you can prevent it from happening if you change the following line in tvinfo.de.ini :
    title.modify {cleanup(style=sentence)}
    into :
    title.modify {cleanup(not "-" style=sentence)}

    Alternatively you can disable the line completely by adding a * at the start like:
    *title.modify {cleanup(style=sentence)}
    (this cleanup operations is merely cosmetic)

    hope this helps WG++Maker .. Jan
