Hy,
i am actually using WebGrab+Plus (V1.1.1/51) with grabbing from tvtoday.de (V1.1.1/51).
The only things i am really missing are showing the episode numbers and/or production year inside EPG.

Does anybody have a working siteini file for a German site which is able to grab episode numbers in xmltv_ns format?

Thanks in advance!

Hi zunix
There's a revised version of tvtoday.ini in the newest ini package - pls. download from http://webgrabplus.com "current siteini pack" - this also grabs season/episode info. BUT: tvtoday website has a bug, which prevents tvtoday grabbing to run properly: it produces gaps. Nevertheless, over the days they get more and more closed, as it's always different shows which are missing.
tvspielfim also grabs episode/season info, but
- it's extreeeeemely slow and
- grabbing more than 7-10 days in advance can lead to have a "(?)" behind the titles.
- and the description is less detailed as from tvtoday
I use a mixed configuration using mode "i": grabbing tvspielfilm for 4 days, then grab tvtoday for 14 days... effect:
- gaps are closed for the next 4 days
- no "(?)" occurs
- from day 5 to 14 I have tvtoday descriptions (with partly gaps)

Yeah there is something funky going on with tvtoday.de. I tried to fix it a while ago but gave up on it. Maybe you or somebody else has more luck, here is what i found.

I had problems with gaps on channels that had duplicate entries, like Sky Sport and Sky Bundesliga. They tend to show all of their sport events that run on the option channel (Sky Sport 3-11, Sky Bundesliga 2-9) in the epg for the main channel, e.g. Sky Sport 1. So there are up to 8 duplicate entries at some point for that channel. Rev6 of the ini could not handle that, so i asked Jan if he could help me fix it, he did, he made a Rev7. Now the problem of the duplicates was fixed, but it generated gaps on other channels that did not have any problems before. As i said, i tried to fix it but failed. I reverted back to Rev6 and to be honest, forgot about it.
With Rev6 i have no problems at all, apart from the Sky channels, but i went and enabled dvb epg on them. So the bug is not in the website, but in the code.

Hope that helps somebody fixing it :).

    This HELPS!
Can we try out together? I was the one who inserted the season/episode grabbing (now Rev. 8) - but, of course, based on Rev. 7
Can you provide me Rev. 6, so I would try to insert the changes in there... and maybe you and me can give this a try? tvtoday is the best machine for German language/TV, and it's faaaast...

    Anyone willing to test?

Attached tvtoday.de.ini in Rev.9 : rolled back on rev.6 and added season episode scraping that I introduced in Rev.8 (current)
Is running here right now - looks good as it finds really many many gaps...
Testers needed, please & report here

    PS: am running WG++ 1.1.1/52pre3

    Hey Lightning!
Do you update your current guide.xmltv file or create a new one from scratch?
My incremental update was only filling gaps here (as I had Rev. 8 running, I had already episode/season info on the existing entries). Means: If you had Rev. 6 running which left no gaps but didn't have season/episode info it would only add the episode info to NEW entries. Maybe you should "invest" a new guide.xmltv - erase the existing one...

    Greetz & thanks - Chris

PS: here's running now the build from scratch after first incremental update run - I'll report when finished
