AW: WebGrab+Plus a new xmltv grabber

Dear Jan,

thank you very much for your kind answer - and not to forget - your immediate reaction.
I incorporated the new ini file of "teleboy.ch" - and everything is ok now - no more "(?)" behind the titles.

You explanation - excuse me, if I might have overseen it in the guide - concerning the "(?)" makes absolutely sense and shows me, that there are even many more thoughts behind it than we can see - very good, that way.
I suppose, I had all the titles with the "(?)" behind, because I had prior WebGrab running with the same channel names - so there actually WERE already entries but couldn't be confirmed by newer runs of your WG++ - I just changed 2 days ago...

The issue with "((Wiederholung))" has also vanished - I suppose that was also related to the old scanner - if I search the TVguide, I can't find any more entry today with this "curiosity". So this was my fault, I didn't differ it.

Great, that you incorporate the doubly entry check in you scanning machine in your next release!

If I ever may support you in anything, please let me know. ...:D

Kind regards from Switzerland - Christoph

Hi Frantid,

thanks for the kind words and the Iceland SiteIni contribution!

(Why do you prefer update mode s?)

WG++Maker .. Jan

I have it set to erase the guide before importing. The guide here is only accurate to the first couple of days. So forcing the update gets me accurate data.

Dear Jan,

may I ask for your assistance today?
I encountered a strange problem today: "Windows program doesn't work properly" (fatal) error message of W7.

Background:
I have now TWO installations on two servers - the "old" (which is running BRILLANTLY!) and the "new" - I want to migrate it after success to the new one.
I installed on the new server WebGrab+plus 1.08beta and ran the initial update.
"Fatal Error" from W7.

Then I copied the entire installation from the old one - including new siteini and my personal config information (and existing guide.xml) and tried it again - same result.

I attached the image of the error message. If you want me to translate it into English, please shortly reply - but I know you neighbors can understand the (few) German words usually.
The log file contains less information than the screen-shot - it just says "Processing TVTV.de guide" - and then ends.

Can you tell me, which file could be referred to by "open file error"?

Both Systems W7 64 bit, the old one runs TV-Server of MP, the new one Argus of ForTheRecord - but that shouldn't have any influence, I guess. Both systems are not running under any "compatibility mode" - tried it out, and made no difference.

Thank you very much in advance,
with kind regards from Switzerland,

Christoph

Hi Christoph,

I think your computer is missing some WG++ .net dependencies. The MSI installer assumes all of these are already available and if not the program will not run properly.
I was just trying to solve this and made a tiny program that checks the .net environment and download and installs what is missing. I have tried it myself on my wifes prehistoric laptop and worked fine. You can uninstall it inmediately after it ran the first time or just leave it (its tiny and doesn't harm) You can download it here: http://www.servercare.nl/Docs/Install%20WG-Dependencies.rar

Of course I am very interested if it worked for you

Dear Jan,
you're incredible! Worked perfectly for me. It installed missing .NET 4 files/installation - und currently the grabbing is running without any problem.
For your "Sunday Investment" I owe you and your wife a nice dinner - let me please know how to do this.
Jan, this is more than simple service! Thanks a lot.
You offer a free software - which is already great - and then such a fast response... wow!

I send you kind regards from Switzerland,

Christoph

Hello Jan,

first of all: Thanx for this great plugin!

I'm trying to configure a belgian website for my epg. It is the french version of the mijn-tv-gids.be, situated at mon-programme-be.
It seems to work so far, but I have some difficulties to insert the episode numbers. I have attached the Mediaportal tv.log where you can see the error, and the .ini files I use.
Maybe you can provide me some help on this topic.

Thanks in advance

Django
