The "Direct" stream uses VLC and can be deinterlaced (via the settings page inside WebMP) - note: it doesnt work in IE9, u need to use firefox

There's a new build of mpextended and webmp that provides a .m3u (playlist file) that's usable in an external program.

If you you look up jqui skin, follow the instructions to install it.

Note that it is early code!

You can edit the transcoder parameters in the Streaming.xml file to do deinterlacing. Simply add ",deinterlace" after the "audio-sync" parameter add the bottom of the file. (I haven't tried it though, but I can't imagine it doesn't work). It's something I might add to the 0.5 release.

Is it possible to have a direct stream that plays with windows media player?
    Not that I know of.

Please do not advertise development builds. It's fine if you want to use them, but they're not suitable for daily use.

I’ll bear that in mind. I kinda have the skin where I want it now as I only use it for TV Recordings as everything else is done thru Plex. I’ve mainly for remotely setting up TV Recordings when away from home.

I ended up simply setting all of my non-OS drives to "Offline" in disk management, then did a repair of MPExtended. That put the MPExtended service files folder on the root of my C drive. At least it's on the OS drive. Having it on another drive made Windows Backup want to make a disk image of that drive also. I was never able to...

The reason I was thinking I needed more RAM is that TV now seems to be HiDef and so the files have grown. I edit the files before storing them, to reduce some size. It is finding that slower, I think. Or it could just be because I'm expecting more? The Baseboard manufacturer says ASUSTech Computer Inc; Baseboard product P7P55D-E...
