I use 1280 x 768, it's a 17" widescreen LCD TV.

I've also a 1280*768 resolution 26" wide screen LCD non square pixels
I voted 1366x768, but I protest at the thought its considering SD (since its progressive, it has more transmitted pixels than 1080i)

It's all in my specs below, but I also have MP running on a desktop with a 1280x1024 LCD.

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...
The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release.
It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases.

To other people reading about this 'issue', Doskabouter provided me with a fix/patch. It is a modified version of tswriter.ax which solved the problem with dolby digital plus audio.
