I'm trying to decide between the VBox 150, VBox 3560, or Hauppauge HVR-1600. Any suggestions? I plan on using the card with TV3 (once ATSC is stable). Thanks.

I can vouch for the Vbox 150 AND the USB model, 3650. I actually like the USB model more, mainly because I have an Nforce (nVidia) chipset based motherboard. The DTA-150 doesn't play well with the nforce based motherboards due to PCI latency. My video was choppy and unwatchable with an HD show on and an analog recording going. The USB 3650 solved this problem and I have been happy since!

Both are supported in TVE2 and should be supported in TVE3 since most if not all cards are recognized automatically now :)

Thanks for the input. I was all set to get a VBox 3650 then I thought of something: I currently have a PVR-500 and want to end up with two analog tuners and two ATSC tuners. Does anyone know if the HVR-1600 analog & ATSC tuners are supported? If so, I could sell the PVR-500 and get two HVR-1600s. Thanks.

I picked up the HVR-1600 from Circuit City - it is on sale and has a rebate right now so it will only end up costing me $60!

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1

Well, the log doesn't show any problems. I can see correctly tuned channels in the log. It seems to me that the tuner works fine. Can you copy the created ts file(located in your timeshift folder) somewhere else while in channel preview and try to play it in VLC or MPC-HC? PS: You can also try to make short record

TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page. Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases. -- from...
