Hi Furetto, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for clarifying because I didn't know where to look anymore to get it working.
I had bumped onto that post with the humo grabber and that got my system working again a few days ago so I didn't check that one, otherwise I would have known that it was useless trying getting it to work again.

It happened only with a few days difference between TVblad and Humo. Got me confused for a while as well.

I will try your solution, what is the function of the zip code in all this, can I simply put mine (3600)?
I would put in yours. The zip-code determines which channels are available. If you live in the West-Flanders that list would be substantially different than if you lived in Charleroi. In the first case you would get amongst others the choice of TV Vlaanderen and Telenet I imagine. In the second case you would get Voo.
So with this, the webEPG(conf) process becomes obsolete and I only have to make sure that in the server XmlTv plugin, I have to point to the xmltv.dtd file, right?
Almost right, you need to point to your tvguide.xml. Which is in the same directory as xmltv.dtd. The import process needs this file to be able to do the import (don't ask me why).

True, I have both those files in the xmltv directory.

I get stuff in my guide but for some reason I cannot complete the list. This is what I'm doing:
    1) delete old mc2xml.dat file
    2) rename previous mc2xml.chl file
    3) grab the full tvguide.xml
    4) copy over the desired channels to the mc2xml.chl file
    5) grab again

    Then in the tv server:
    1) in the xmltv plugin, click on 'Load/Refresh'
    2) assign a guide channel to the tuning channel
    3) click on 'Save' and close
    4) open the MP client

I did this for a few of the 'lineup' selections in mc2xml but there are a few things that puzzle me:
    1) I have mapped several guide channels to tuning channels in the tv server and do not get all of them in the guide
    2) how/where to specify the order of the channels so they appear as I want in my tv guide?
    3) if I get a 'raw' tvguide.xml with all the desired channels, and I copy them over to the mc2xml.chl file, the part of configuring mc2xml is done, right? All I have to do, is schedule the grabbing?

    Small addendum, maybe not important...
    TVserver
    3) click on 'Save' and close
3a) Force Import in TV server, not sure it has imported anything before the channels are mapped
    4) open the MP client

The order in which the channels appear in your GUI is depending on some settings in TV server configuration. I don't have my TV server around, but here's what I did.

I made a new TV Channel Group in which I put only the channels that I am really interested in. I gave this group the meaningful name "TVGuide". The order in which the channels appear in this group, is the order they appear in inside the MP client. You could also do this with the All Channels group instead of only a subset. The order inside the All Channels group determines again how they appear inside MP client.

Somewhere in the menus (don't remember where) there is a checkmark box in front of each channel. This determines if the channel gets EPG info. I am not sure this applies to tvguide.xml information or only to DVBT/DVBC/DVBS-EPG. Just make sure you mark these ones for the channels you are interested in. I think you can double-check (but maybe not set) this inside the channel/epg mapping.

Inspite of your avatar, you're an angel to me! ;)
It's working now and apparently, the order of the channels is not controlled by one of the numbers that you can assign to them in the numerous windows but just by the order of appearance in the tab aside where you assign the channels ('first screen'/highest level of TV Channels in the server).

I was fiddling around with the numbers in the channel numbers and in the guide, thinking that these numbers would be responsible for the order.
To me, like this, it doesn't seem logic but at least that part works now.

I only have still 1 'minor' problem: 3 channels, even though being in the tvguide.xml file AND they are mapped in the xmltv plugin, don't get any data in the guide and 1 is not in the different lineups.

I tried mc2xml but just receive the following error:

    "Error ....... : TCP 124363R 124356H"

I tried different commands, also all of the examples on the mc2xml website. They all result in the above error. Sadly, the mc2xml website does not provide any hints on errors. Does anybody have an idea whats wrong here??

Have you tried to download the program again to make sure the file is ok and are you on a network/behind a router that could prevent certain things?

Yes I did. I contacted the mc2xml developer and it seems that only port 80 and 443 is needed. If I would know the Microsoft EPG server hostname or IP address I could do a telnet test.

You can use a tool to get that info while grabbing or ask the developer.

In my router log I see an HTTPS connection to 64.4.52.189. I get a response when I do "telnet 64.4.52.189 443".

    I don't understand why it's not working.
