I've downloaded now the latest SVN and have the same troubles as you.
Seems there's a difference between my builds that i do locally and the public svn builds.
I need to find out what is happening here.

I'm strangely delighted that you had problems, because at least then we should be able to rectify them easier than via my machine

Let us know when you think you've fixed it and I'll have another play.

Update: It works very well, when running the Debug version. That's what i always do on my dev machine.
But it fails with the Release version.

I've fixed the problem with the hanging confog, but have no idea yet, what is causing the hang when starting mp.

EDIT: Build 14018 same problem, closing to desktop from configuration

Mp-Setup work fine.

Only when lost focus from MP render is slow in little VisWindow

yes, you're right, but normally, when running MP in Full screen, it is configured to have always focus and then this problem doesn't occur.

Fine that it works at least with one other user.

Just installed the latest build.. And it's dropping out to the desktop when I choose Milkdrop (Beta Version you posted) for me too..

latest build ?
i use MediaPortal-svn--04-12-2007--13-04-Rev14018.exe

and use this plugins
no problem to this time

remove the config.ini from milkdrop and check again
