Your directory structure is absolutely ok. this must work.
Is the Sonic Vis detected?

i think not OK!!
this is OK
c:\Program Files\Team Mediaportal\MusicPlayer\plugins\visualizations\

not this
c:\Program Files\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal\plugins\visualizations\

BassVis search recursive in MusicPlayer\ ..visualizations and subfolder
not Mediaportal\ and subfolder

greets

Actually you were wrong there, should be:
c:\Program Files\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal\MusicPlayer\plugins\visualizations\

Now it works.:D

yes i forgot Mediaportal insert '\Team Mediaportal\ ...... \MusicPlayer'
i have Edit it.

Excellent work on the configuration, it's now working smoothly on that problematic setup of mine!

I think I have another clue about the problem with beat response that still plagues me.

Using the default Milkdrop pattern, it shows the 2 stereo channels as 2 visible waves. On my setup only the top channel is showing a reasonable waveform, the bottom channel is showing a strange pattern that is definitely not music. It might be a flat line for a second then maybe a sharp increase to 100% then a pretty curve down to 50% and so on, quite random but extreme. I am using ASIO output. Any chance you could check out that pretty please?

Good that it works now for you after a long time. :)

Do you see this behaviour with non-ASIO as well?
or is it related to ASIO only?

Is there any chance of this being made into an official plugin for MediaPortal? It seems like a lot of hassle to install the SVN build and move files about just to get a visualisation when a simple install could be built??? Or am I just seeming like an idiot..

Good work though hwahrmann and BassFan, I'm always in awe of people who give their time to make these things work for the rest of us

    Visualize this:

"This plugin/thread" represents what has been added to MP's My Music since 0.2.2.0 and the portion of 'this' which is fully debugged and stabalized will be rolled into the next base release (I'm guessing 0.2.2.1). Then hwahrmann and company will continue to enhance and refine this (we hope) as future SVN releases ontop of 0.2.2.1.

So cheer up, mate, things are going the way we want them.

Should you be able to see the track information pop up when running the visualisation full screen?

Would b nice, but no way currently.
as the Winamp vis renders to the full window.
In fact the Track information is there, but overlaid by the Winamp Vis.
i'll try to figure out how this can be done. I'm sure it is possible, but it'll take time and testing.

Great to have track information when playing radio streams now.
It seems that this track infomations will not be forwarded to the Winamp vis like when playing "normal" music.
When playing "normal" music from files I configured the Winamp vis to show the track infos embedded in vis.
This is not working when playing streaming radio. The track infos are only shown outside the vis.
Is it possible to show the track info embedded in vis too?

Thanks a lot and best regards
